Job summary

Renewable Energy Systems Ltd. seeks a Geospatial Technician to collect lidar and photogrammetric data with drones, process GIS data, and support survey and cartography tasks for wind, solar, and energy storage projects.

Travel 51-75% domestically is required with hybrid in-office/remote work (3 days in office, 2 days home). The role emphasizes metadata management, QA/QC of data products, and collaboration with internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in UAV/Drone Science, Remote Sensing, GIS, Cartographic Science, or Geodetics preferred.
• 1+ years drone-based data collection experience preferred.
• 1+ years data processing or GIS/CAD software experience preferred.
• 1+ years traditional field survey experience preferred.
• Domestic travel 51-75% required.

Responsibilities

• Collect lidar and photogrammetric data using drones.
• Process and analyze photogrammetric and lidar data.
• Compile spatial data from internal teams and various sources.
• Prepare and manage metadata; quality assurance of data products.
• Support projects and survey staff with data/files.
• Travel to project sites for surveys; operate company vehicles.
