Job summary

The duties include maintaining geospatial databases, applying security and archiving, and delivering timely data analyses and visualizations. A strong background in ArcGIS and Python/R is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Ecology, Natural Resource Management, Environmental Science, Geography, Computer Science or related field with advanced course work in Remote Sensing and Geospatial Information Systems.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
• A valid driver’s license is required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Maintains the Geospatial database in an organized fashion, with adequate quality control and documentation.
• Applies adequate security, archiving, and documentation procedures.
• Designs, produces, and publishes data analyses, including tables, maps, graphics, and web services that are informative and visually appealing.
