Job summary

Vantor is seeking an experienced Geospatial Analyst to manage and QA geospatial data across ArcGIS Pro, QGIS, and enterprise geodatabases. You will support Oracle to PostgreSQL/PostGIS migrations, create and validate geometries, and collaborate with developers, DBAs, and stakeholders on complex datasets.

You will maintain topology, schemas, domains, and metadata, perform data transformations and quality assurance, and help publish GIS services and web maps.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related technical field.
• 2+ years of professional GIS or geospatial data-management experience.
• Experience with ArcPro or comparable desktop GIS.
• Experience with multiple geospatial data types, formats, and sources.
• Experience maintaining geodatabases.
• Experience creating, editing, transforming, and validating spatial geometries.
• Experience with topology creation, maintenance, and validation.
• Experience managing geospatial attribution, schemas, domains, subtypes, and metadata.
• Experience data compatibility testing, quality control, and quality assurance.
• Experience developing repeatable data-validation or quality-assessment procedures.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Create, edit, update, and maintain geospatial data using ArcGIS Pro/QGIS.
• Work with vector, raster, imagery, web services and external datasets.
• Maintain and update global geospatial datasets within enterprise geodatabases.
• Support the transition from Oracle to PostgreSQL/PostGIS.
• Create, modify, and validate spatial geometries and attributes.
• Maintain spatial topology and document topology errors.
• Perform data transformations, migrations, and data integration.
• Develop and execute data tests to ensure compatibility with target systems.
• Conduct data quality control and QA reviews to identify errors.
• Develop repeatable procedures for data validation and QA.
• Perform spatial analysis and produce geospatial products.
• Troubleshoot data and database issues.
• Support GIS services, web maps, and geodatabases publication.
• Document data sources and processing steps; collaborate with stakeholders.
• Stay current with ArcGIS, QGIS, PostgreSQL/PostGIS capabilities.
