Job summary

Vantor Inc. is seeking an experienced Geospatial Analyst to manage, maintain, and QA geospatial data across diverse types and sources using ArcGIS Pro and QGIS.

The role supports transitioning Oracle data to PostgreSQL/PostGIS, creating and validating geometries, attributes, schemas, and metadata, and collaborating with developers, DBAs, and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will handle complex datasets, perform data quality control, and develop repeatable validation procedures while staying

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related technical field.
• Two+ years of professional GIS/geospatial data-management experience.
• Experience using ArcGIS Pro or another desktop GIS.
• Experience with multiple geospatial data types, formats and sources.
• Experience maintaining or updating geodatabases.
• Experience creating, editing, transforming, and validating spatial geometries.
• Experience with topology creation, maintenance and validation.
• Experience managing geospatial attribution, schemas, domains, subtypes and metadata.
• Experience data compatibility testing, quality control and quality assurance.
• Experience executing repeatable data-validation procedures.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Create, edit, update, and maintain geospatial data using ArcGIS Pro/QGIS.
• Work with diverse geospatial data types and sources.
• Maintain and update global geospatial datasets within enterprise geodatabases.
• Support transition of geospatial data from Oracle to PostgreSQL/PostGIS.
• Create, modify, and validate spatial geometries and attributes.
• Maintain spatial topology and resolve topology errors.
• Validate schemas, domains, and metadata.
• Perform data transformations and migrations as required.
• Develop and execute data tests for compatibility with target systems.
• Conduct data quality control and quality assurance reviews.
• Develop repeatable validation procedures for data quality.
• Perform spatial analysis and produce accurate geospatial products.
• Troubleshoot data and database issues.
• Support GIS services, web maps, and geodatabases publication and maintenance.
• Document data sources, processing steps, validation procedures, issues and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with developers, DBAs, system admins and stakeholders.
