Job summary

Bering-Alaka`ina Holdings, LLC is recruiting a GIS Analyst II to support our government customer located at Command Navy Region Northwest, Washington state. You will perform GIS data extraction, analysis, and map production to support decision making for defense and regional planning.

Ideal candidates have at least two years of GIS experience, a related bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, and U.S. citizenship with Tier 1 clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

• At least two (2) years’ experience in design, operations and integration of GIS applications and data.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, geography, or related technical discipline is desired, however equivalent experience will be considered.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a Tier 1 clearance.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes Geographic Information System techniques to provide a better understanding of variables in a geographic location.
• Extracts data from GIS software and uses varying analysis methods to arrive at results.
• Recommends appropriate reactionary strategies in response to GIS analysis.
• Provides maps and data sets to clients to supplement analysis.
• Knowledgeable of GIS software and technology and may work with CADD drafters and technicians.
• Create and provide Custom Maps derived from data, including tabular, graphic, or spatial data outputs.
• Maintain regional data stores containing geospatial information and evaluate data deliverables from contractors.
• Convert data between GIS and CAD formats and post-process field data.
• Support analytic and visualization services, including what-if scenarios and GIS visual outputs.
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
