Job summary

Bering-Alaka`ina Holdings, LLC is seeking a GIS Analyst II to support our Government Customer in Washington state. The role focuses on geospatial analysis, data extraction, and map production for diverse projects.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field and at least two years of GIS experience, with US citizenship and Tier 1 clearance being required. Compensation ranges from $65,000 to $85,000 per year, with comprehensive benefits and corporate perks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, geography, or related technical discipline; equivalent experience considered.
• At least 2 years’ experience designing and integrating GIS applications and data.
• U.S. citizen with Tier 1 security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes Geographic Information System techniques to provide a better understanding of variables in a geographic location.
• Extracts data from GIS software and uses analysis methods to derive results.
• Recommends reactionary strategies based on GIS analysis.
• Provides maps and data sets to clients to support analysis.
• Familiar with GIS software and technology; may work with CADD drafters and technicians.
• Develops custom maps from available or newly sourced data (tabular, graphic, or spatial).
• Data services include extracting and formatting data from regional stores, evaluating data from contractors, maintaining regional GIS data stores, converting data between GIS and CAD, and incorporating GPS data.
• Analytic services may include geospatial and tabular analysis for scenarios like sight lines or impacts of construction or resources.
• Visualization services include creating custom maps/graphics from client data, limited to GIS-related projects.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
