Job summary

Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) is seeking a GIS Analyst to join our Bridgeport, WV office. You will support environmental, ecological, engineering, surveying, and infrastructure projects through GIS analysis, data management, mapping, and visualization.

You will work with managers, scientists, engineers, and field staff to develop GIS datasets, perform spatial analysis, and create high-quality mapping products serving West Virginia and surrounding regions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Geospatial Sciences, Environmental Science, or related field.
2-4 years of professional GIS experience.
Experience using ArcGIS Pro and related GIS technologies.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and manage GIS databases, datasets, and geospatial information in the Esri ArcGIS platform.
Create maps, exhibits, figures, and data visualizations to support projects across environmental, ecological, engineering, and infrastructure domains.
Gather and integrate spatial data from GPS, CAD/BIM, and UAS imagery.
Perform spatial analysis and modeling to support planning, permitting, site selection, and regulatory compliance.
Support GIS data management, quality control, and metadata development.
Develop Esri web apps and field data collection forms using Field Maps and Survey123.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet deliverables and client needs.
Support GPS data processing, field data collection, and geospatial tech implementation.
Maintain project data organization and assist with technical documentation.
