Murphy Oil Corporation’s Geoscience Summer Internship Program offers an exciting opportunity to explore the energy industry, apply your classroom knowledge, and contribute through real-world projects during a 12-week summer experience.

As a Geoscience Summer Intern, you will interpret subsurface geoscience and related data to support hydrocarbon exploration and development while working alongside a mentor and experienced professionals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Geology, Geophysics or currently enrolled in a master’s program in Geology/Geophysics.
• Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university program for the duration of the internship.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and must not require sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future.
• Minimum of twelve (12) weeks’ availability for internship.

Responsibilities

• Development Interns may conduct reservoir studies with interpretation of 3D seismic data, analyzing well logs, to draft cross-sections, structure/net pay maps, and amplitude maps.
• Exploration Interns should have experience in 3D seismic interpretation, structural geology, basin modeling, and/or rock physics; interpret data and assist in basin models and maturation efforts.
