Job summary

Woodside Energy is offering an Early Career Pathways Geoscience Internship in the United States for Summer 2027. The program provides hands-on experience supporting the Exploration and Subsurface Units through project-based work, with mentors and opportunities for professional development.

Interns will conduct subsurface evaluations, gain exposure to Woodside’s safety culture and standards, and participate in a structured pathway feeding into future graduate programs within the US operations.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Graduate degree (MS or PhD) in Geology or Geophysics from an accredited US College or University
• Enrolled in an accredited college or university for the full duration of the 2027 internship
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.30
• Available for a minimum of twelve (12) consecutive weeks during Summer 2027
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship requirement
• Agree to pre-employment screening and email coordination
• Agree not to use AI tools during application/interview process

Responsibilities

• Support Woodside’s Exploration and Subsurface Units with project-based work
• Conduct subsurface evaluations for US/International Exploration or Production assets
• Gain experience alongside senior geoscientists and professionals in a structured internship program
