Job summary

Devon is seeking a Geoscience Analyst in Houston to support fast-paced asset evaluations. You will work with geoscientists and engineers to gather, condition, and present geological data across basins and asset types, building projects in Kingdom and providing maps and analyses to support acquisitions and divestitures.

The role emphasizes data quality, collaboration, and delivering high-quality technical products in a dynamic environment, with a strong focus on upstream oil and gas data

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Geophysics, GIS, Data Science, Computer Science, or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant geoscience technical support or analysis experience.
• Upstream oil and gas experience preferred; asset evaluation experience a plus.
• Strong data-management, quality-control and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Experience with geoscience data workflows and data integration across basins.

Responsibilities

• Build, manage, and maintain Kingdom projects supporting geoscience evaluations.
• Gather, load, condition, integrate, and manage well logs, formation tops, seismic, production, and other data.
• Support geoscientists and engineers with maps, cross sections, displays, and analytical products.
• Source and integrate data from internal, vendor, regulatory, and public databases.
• Maintain data quality, organization, and accessibility across projects and databases.
• Assist loading and manipulation of seismic and well data, including SEGY and metadata.
• Work with teams to define project requirements, data needs, and deliverables on accelerated timelines.
• Identify opportunities to streamline geoscience workflows and data-management processes.
• Provide mapping, spatial analysis, and technical support as needed.

Asset Evaluation Team or AET), with a focus on fast-paced acquisition, divestiture, and business development evaluations.
