Job summary

SA Recycling in Georgia is seeking a General Manager to oversee existing and future yard locations. You will lead day-to-day operations, safety programs, and commercial activities with a focus on efficiency and compliance.

The role requires 5+ years of progressive management, a business degree, budgeting acumen, and the ability to build strong supplier and customer relationships. In this position you will manage a diverse team in a fast-paced environment with emphasis on safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive management experience.
• Experience with ferrous and nonferrous processing.
• Experience in operations within metal recycling.
• Strong budgeting and financial analysis skills.
• Promotes safety-first culture and strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day facility operations, including production, planning, logistics, and inventory.
• Develop, train, and enforce safety procedures and protocols, ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Manage the yard budget, analyze financial reports, monitor P&L, and identify cost savings.
• Lead commercial efforts, including purchase of ferrous and nonferrous scrap metals, and build supplier/customer relationships.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team in a safe, productive environment.
