We are currently looking for General Managers for existing and future yard locations in the Georgia region. This role requires talent, motivation, and a strong commitment to safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day facility operations, including production, planning, logistics, and inventory, ensuring smooth workflows and maximum efficiency.
• Develop, train, and enforce safety procedures and protocols, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Manage the yard budget, analyze financial reports, monitor P&L, and identify areas for cost reduction and increased profitability.
• Lead commercial efforts, including purchase of ferrous and nonferrous scrap metals, conduct sales calls, and build strong relationships with suppliers and customers.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team, fostering a positive, productive, and safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in operations management, preferably within metal recycling or related manufacturing.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
• Experience with ferrous and nonferrous processing and production.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive management experience in fast‑paced, diverse operations.
• Advanced organizational and problem‑solving skills with a results‑oriented mentality.
• Strong financial acumen and experience with budgeting and financial analysis.
• Effective communication skills, ability to interact with customers and suppliers, and promote a safety‑first culture.
• Knowledge of industry software (e.g., RIMAS, ASA) is a plus.
• Experience operating heavy equipment is a plus.
• Must complete pre‑employment physical and drug screen, pass background and credit check.
• Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are a plus.
• Willingness to work in office and outdoor yard environments in varying weather conditions.

Physical Requirements

Work environment includes office and scrap metal yard. Tasks involve office equipment, general tools, and training with mobile equipment. Physical demand: light to moderate. Work capacity: lifting and carrying 35 lb loads, head turning, bending. Sensory demands: hearing, vision, smell, touch, taste. Hand movements: repetitive motions, typing.

Job Expectations
