Job summary

Gresham Smith in Alpharetta, GA, seeks a Georgia Bridge Department Leader with 15+ years of bridge engineering to guide a multidisciplinary team. The role focuses on KPI oversight, client relations, and delivering GDOT projects on-time and within budget.

You will partner with regional leaders, drive business development, lead staffing and quality control, and mentor engineers. A Georgia PE license and an entrepreneurial mindset are essential in this hybrid, full-time position.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in bridge engineering with leadership of a Bridge Group.
• Registered PE in Georgia.
• Proven GDOT and local municipality contract success.
• Experience with Design-Build, Progressive Design Build, CM/GC or P3.

Responsibilities

• Oversee departmental KPIs and ensure alignment with goals.
• Lead client-specific practices, scheduling, staffing, budgeting, and quality control.
• Develop personal development plans to foster growth of technical staff.
• Serve as liaison with Southeast Regional Leader, GA Transportation Leader, and Bridge Services Leader.
