Job summary

Fabri is seeking a Software Engineer, Geometry & Simulation to build software that connects Fabri's digital manufacturing process end-to-end. You will work across manufacturing preparation, geometry processing, and simulation to transform CAD models into manufacturable production workflows.

You will primarily develop C++ software, with Python as a bonus, and collaborate directly with operators and engineers to automate and scale real-world manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong programming ability in C++17; Python Skills are a plus.
• Experience building backend systems, automation tools, geometry processing software, or technical internal tools.
• Strong debugging and systems-thinking skills.
• Comfortable working in ambiguous environments where requirements are not fully specified.
• Interest in manufacturing, robotics, geometry, hardware, or industrial automation.
• Ability to communicate clearly with both software engineers and non-software teammates.
• Willingness to work on-site and stay close to the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities

• Build and extend software pipelines that prepare customer parts for manufacturing.
• Develop software for geometry processing, manufacturability analysis, build preparation, and production execution.
• Write C++ software for geometry processing, automation, and manufacturing orchestration.
• Develop software that automatically slices, supports, and validates customer geometries for manufacturing.
• Generate manufacturing instructions and machine workflows from customer part geometry.
• Connect internal software systems with factory workflows, operator tools, and machines.
• Work closely with manufacturing, process engineering, and operations to turn factory problems into usable software.
