Stratus Team LLC is seeking a Geomatics Engineering Intern to support surveyors and geospatial professionals on land surveying, mapping, and data analysis for infrastructure projects.

You will gain hands-on exposure to design tools, field conditions, and project coordination while receiving guidance from experienced professionals. This internship offers practical experience in a multidisciplinary firm.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or associate degree in Geomatics, Surveying, Civil Engineering, GIS, or related field.
  • Completion of relevant surveying, mapping, GIS, CAD, mathematics, or technical coursework.
  • Basic understanding of surveying, geospatial data, coordinate systems, or mapping principles.
  • Ability to perform fieldwork and use Microsoft Office and basic CAD or GIS applications.
  • Preferred: internship or co‑op experience in surveying or GIS; familiarity with Civil 3D, ArcGIS, GNSS, drones.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with field surveys, measurements, data collection, calculations, mapping, drawings, and other project documentation.
  • Support boundary, topographic, construction, utility, and control survey activities under professional guidance.
  • Help process and organize survey, GPS, laser-scanning, drone, CAD, and GIS data for project use.
