Job summary

The Sanborn Map Company in Colorado Springs, CO seeks a Geomatics Engineer to process and analyze geospatial data, including lidar and aerial imagery. You will identify and resolve complex issues, support automation of production workflows, and ensure quality control across delivery pipelines.

Ideal candidates have a strong background in lidar, GIS, Python scripting, and a graduate degree is preferred. The role requires US work authorization and offers competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geomatics or related field; graduate degree preferred.
• 5 years of experience in geospatial data processing and analysis.
• Programming experience with Python; knowledge of JavaScript is a plus.
• Familiarity with lidar, remote sensing, and GIS principles.
• US resident with ability to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Process, analyze, and model geospatial data from lidar and imagery.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and ensure data quality and deliverables.
• Develop automated workflows and production pipelines for GIS tasks.
• Review lidar imagery, vector mapping, and GIS projects for quality.
• Collaborate with project teams and support sales/proposals as needed.
