SAM is offering an Apprenticeship Program for Geomatics Technician (Survey and Mapping) in Morehead, KY. You will work with our surveying team, learn to utilize advanced technology, and gain hands-on experience across field and office tasks.

The two-year program provides paid training, on-the-job learning, and opportunities to achieve Journeyman Surveyor Certification while traveling to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Desire to learn more about land surveying and geospatial industry
• Willingness to travel and work outside
• Strong interest in working with technology
• Strong math and computer skills

Responsibilities

• Collect angles and elevations using surveying equipment.
• Learn to take notes, sketch drawings and read plans.
• Exposure to records research and quality control.
• Complete safety and corporate compliance trainings.
• Work in a two-year apprenticeship program with on-the-job training
