Job summary

Oxy invites graduate students in Geology or Geophysics to join its Summer Intern Program in Denver, CO. This 12-week internship runs May through August and offers hands-on projects across our core oil and gas businesses, with mentoring from a manager and a dedicated mentor.

You will participate in training and development courses, attend Lunch and Learns, field trips and social activities, and meet with company leaders. A strong academic record and teamwork are expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate student in Geology or Geophysics aiming for a career in Petroleum and Carbon Management.
• Minimum GPA 2.85 on a 4.0 scale.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Work on real-life projects with hands-on participation in Oxy's core businesses.
• Assist in preparing and maintaining project timelines and prioritizing workload.
• Be paired with a manager and mentor for technical guidance throughout the internship.
