Qualifications

Job description

We are seeking a Project Manager with expertise in Environmental Geology or Hydrogeology to join our Woburn, MA team. The ideal candidate will oversee environmental projects, ensure regulatory compliance, manage budgets, and coordinate with clients and team members.

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  1. Managing and preparing all phases and associated Massachusetts Contingency Plan milestone documents, as well as NH Contaminated Site Management and Maine Petroleum and Hazardous Waste Cleanup regulations.
  2. Designing and overseeing site assessments.
  3. Mentoring junior staff.
  4. Providing technical support for Atlas 24/7 Emergency Response efforts.
  5. Procuring and managing subcontractors.
  6. Working effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Exhibiting strong time and task-management skills.
  8. Supporting other Atlas services such as Building Sciences, Regulatory Compliance, SPCC Plan preparation, NPDES Services, and Industrial Hygiene.
  9. Contributing to business development and proposal efforts.
Minimum Requirements:
  1. Bachelor of Science degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a similar field.
  2. 9-12 years of professional experience.
  3. Thorough knowledge of the Massachusetts Contingency Plan.
  4. Strong technical writing skills, capable of preparing reports independently.
  5. Strong project management skills.
  6. Valid driver’s license.
Technical Requirements:
  1. Knowledge of the Massachusetts Contingency Plan and developing compliance programs and milestone reports.
  2. Current OSHA HAZWOPER Certification.
  3. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  4. Proficiency with PDF software.
  5. Knowledge of Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
  6. Experience as an Environmental Professional for ASTM Phase I Environmental Site Assessments.
Other Qualities:
  1. Tracking to obtain Licensed Site Professional Licenses.
  2. Ability to travel within New England up to 20% of the time.
  3. Additional expertise in Risk Assessment, Site Assessment, Fate and Transport, or remediation design is a plus.
  4. Strong understanding of environmental field practices, including media sampling, soil and groundwater investigation, and remediation oversight.
