Job summary

The LiRo Group in Mineola, NY is seeking an Environmental Engineer/Geologist/Scientist to join our Mineola office. Responsibilities include overseeing sampling, soil logging, and field activities, with a focus on ASTM Phase I ESAs and related field work.

We value self-starters with analytical and writing skills, plus ability to coordinate schedule and budget. Entry level candidates will be considered; visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering, or related field.
• 2–5 years’ experience (entry level candidates considered).
• Self-starter with strong analytical and writing skills.
• Project scheduling experience with budget management skills.
• Asbestos experience or professional license a plus.
• Field experience.
• Strong communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of ASTM-compliant Phase I ESAs
• Drilling/excavating contractor oversight, soil/groundwater/soil vapor sample collection
• Soil logging/geologic formation
• Construction activities oversight including excavations, monitoring well installations, UST investigations/closures
• CAMP implementation and work zone monitoring
• Field activity report writing
• Assist project PMs with preparation of various summary reports and documents
• 8 hour shift
