Caturus, based in Houston, Texas, seeks a Geological Technician to support the subsurface team with data management and interpretation of geological and well data. You will maintain accurate databases, prepare maps and exhibits, and assist geologists and engineers with subsurface evaluations.

The ideal candidate has hands-on Petrel experience, strong attention to detail, and familiarity with geological data management workflows. Upstream oil and gas experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as Geological Technician or similar role in oil & gas.
• Hands-on experience with Petrel is required; Kingdom experience is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Geology or related field preferred.

Responsabilités

• Support geologists and subsurface team with data management and interpretation workflows.
• Create and maintain geological databases, well data, and subsurface information.
• Load and quality-check well logs, formation tops, and deviation surveys.
• Utilize Petrel to support interpretation, mapping, and data visualization.
• Prepare maps, cross-sections, and technical exhibits for evaluations.
• Collaborate with geologists and engineers on development activities.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity across software and internal systems.
• Assist with data migrations and workflow improvements, including transitions to Petrel.
