Job summary
Blue Moon Metals Inc. seeks a Geological Database & GIS Specialist to manage geological databases, GIS systems, and spatial data for exploration and development projects. You will ensure data is accurate, well‑documented, and accessible to technical teams.
Collaborating with geologists, engineers, and corporate staff, you will support QA/QC, data governance, NI 43‑101 compliance, and dashboards, producing maps and data packages for internal and external use.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Geology, GIS, Geomatics or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of geological data management experience.
- Experience with geological databases and GIS in mining/exploration.
- Knowledge of NI 43-101 and mineral exploration standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead geological database and GIS management across projects.
- Maintain geological, drilling, sampling, assay, survey, and spatial data.
- Support data acquisition, integration, visualization, and interpretation.
- Develop data workflows, governance, and documentation.
- Ensure data validation, backups and QA/QC practices.
- Provide GIS analysis and geology support to teams.
- Prepare maps, figures, data packages for internal/external use.
- Integrate historical and new data into corporate systems.
