Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Software Engineer / Data Science Librarian to manage databases supporting GEOINT product dissemination and to process expurgation requests for distributing discrete geospatial packages to internal and foreign partners. The role emphasizes data integrity, automation, and collaboration across offices and security domains.

The ideal candidate has strong coding, database management, geospatial experience, and proficiency in Perl, Python, Java, SQL, and C++.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience or Master's with 6+ years; Doctorate is possible.
• Top Secret clearance or ability to obtain TS/SCI with Polygraph after hire.
• 5+ years designing and supporting databases.
• Strong experience with Perl, Python/Java, SQL, C++, database constructs, schemas, and stored procedures.
• Geospatial database management knowledge.
• Ability to automate ingest, validation, and dissemination workflows.
• Awareness of cross-domain data management and security (NIPRnet/Xenon, SIPRnet, JWICS).
• Strong public speaking and customer-facing briefing experience.
• Security+ certification.

Responsibilities

• Manage databases supporting GEOINT product dissemination and spatial content generation.
• Develop and optimize data ingest and validation scripts, stored procedures, and code.
• Render maps in ESRI ArcGIS and apply layers within the mapping environment.
• Collaborate across offices and security domains to ensure secure data integration.
• Deliver technical briefings and presentations to customers and leadership.
