Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Software Engineer / Data Science Librarian to manage databases for GEOINT product dissemination and to process expurgation requests for distributing geospatial packages to partners. You will enhance ingests, scripts, and code across Unix/Linux environments, with ArcGIS integration and secure cross-domain collaboration.

The role demands strong programming experience (Perl, Python/Java, SQL, C++), plus the ability to deliver technical briefings and public-facing presentations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience or Master's with 6+ years of experience.
• Top Secret Clearance or ability to obtain TS/SCI with Polygraph.
• 5+ years of experience designing and supporting databases.
• Strong experience with Perl scripts, Python/Java code, SQL queries, C++ code, database constructs, schemas, and stored procedures.
• Strong knowledge of geospatial components in databases and automation workflows.
• Understanding of cross-domain data management and security protocols (NIPRnet/Xenon, SIPRnet, JWICS).
• Strong public-speaking skills and experience delivering technical briefings.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain databases supporting GEOINT dissemination and spatial content generation.
• Develop and optimize data ingest and validation scripts, stored procedures, and code.
• Render maps in ESRI ArcGIS and integrate geospatial layers for visualization.
• Collaborate across offices and security domains to ensure secure data integration and dissemination.
• Engage stakeholders and deliver technical briefings to customers and leadership.
