KBR’s National Security Solutions team seeks a GEOINT Operations Systems Engineer to support a dynamic space program in Chantilly, VA. You will help acquire and deploy next-generation space assets, including a first-of-a-kind satellite constellation with ground-breaking technology, and work with a mission-focused team.

The role requires experience in satellite operations, tasking, metrics collection, and image dissemination.

Qualifications

  • Clearance: Active TS/SCI security clearance with current Polygraph.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics, and 8+ years’ experience.
  • Masters or PhD in a relevant technical field.
  • Space Systems: Experience with space systems design, development, and operations to include tasking, metrics collecting, and image dissemination.
  • IC Community: Experience with the Intelligence Community (IC) and/or the Department of Defense.
  • Payloads: Experience with IC architectures, spacecraft, and payloads.
  • Lead: Ability to lead and be the primary point of contact for one or more projects.
  • Skills: Effective interpersonal skills and strong customer engagement.
  • Communication: Ability to communicate complex technical subjects to a diverse audience.
  • Environment: Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic, integrated team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide operations planning and execution support.
  • Develop and coordinate operations transition plans for large constellations.
  • Provide support to anomaly resolution.
  • Support development and evaluation of CONOPS for GEOINT missions.
  • Interface with mission users, operators, and analysts to translate operational needs into system requirements.
  • Assess system performance from an operational and mission-effectiveness perspective.
  • Support exercises and operational evaluations.
  • Provide on-call support.
  • Provide proactive support to Government customers in an integrated office environment.
  • Participate in full lifecycle acquisition and SE activities from pre-acquisition through launch and on-orbit checkout.
  • Author, review, and coordinate documents and briefings to aid Government communications and decision-making.
  • Provide support for dissemination of imagery products.

KBR is seeking a GEOINT Operations System Engineer to support a very dynamic space program in Chantilly, VA. In this position, you will support acquiring and deploying the next generation of space assets including first of a kind satellite constellation with ground-breaking technology. The GEOINT Operations Systems Engineer is responsible for supporting satellite operations from tasking to product dissemination for a proliferated constellation of imagery satellites. This position requires an understanding of operations with prior experience in satellite operations. Must have excellent problem solving skills, creativity and a willingness and to go the extra mile to resolve issues in a dynamic fast paced Program Office. Key Responsibilities
