Job summary

CFD Research Corporation seeks a Computer Vision Engineer to develop and optimize advanced CV and multi-sensor fusion algorithms for GEOINT workflows. The role covers deep learning model development, real-time tracking, and GPU-accelerated pipelines deployed in operational environments.

You will work on imaging physics integration, ML-based inference, and fused sensor data across synthetic and real sensing environments, aiming for scientifically explainable systems with empirical validation.

Qualifications

• 1-5+ years of experience developing computer vision algorithms for detection, tracking, or multi-sensor fusion in remote sensing or GEOINT-relevant environments.
• 1+ years of experience applying deep learning to computer vision problems using transformer-based or self-supervised architectures.
• ACTIVE TS/SCI security clearance is REQUIRED.
• Experience implementing model pipelines in Python or C++, including training, evaluation, and deployment workflows.
• Knowledge of GPU-accelerated development using CUDA, RAPIDS, or other GPU programming frameworks.
• Knowledge of classical tracking/estimation methods (Kalman filters) for real-time algorithm development.
• Knowledge of PINNs or physics-constrained loss functions.
• Ability to design, test, and optimize algorithms for operational performance in constrained computing environments (multi-GPU/Cloud).
• Bachelor's degree in related STEM field.
• U.S. Citizenship is REQUIRED.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement deep learning computer vision models, focusing on sensor fusion and target tracking.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to design, develop, test, and deploy solutions in Python or C++.
• Leverage GPU programming (CUDA/RAPIDS) to optimize CV applications' performance.
• Contribute to architecture and implementation of novel single/multi-sensor detection, tracking, and fusion of targets.
