Job summary

Leidos is seeking a talented Cartographer to support large- and small-scale cartographic production in a high-tempo GEOINT environment. You will produce, edit, and review maps and charts, ensuring timely and accurate mission support using GIS tools and established standards.

You will create standard products (TM, MTM, JOG, TPC, JNC, GNC, ONC, EVC) and other mapping outputs, while performing QA reviews and collaborating with government, industry, and military partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 4–8 years of relevant experience.
• Active TS/SCI with willingness to CI Poly.
• Experience in cartographic finishing, feature extraction, and data content management.
• Knowledge of MGCP schemas and related DPS/SIG for GEOINT products (TM, MTM, JOG, TPC, JNC, GNC, ONC, EVC).
• Experience with cartographic finishing software and automation tools (CWS, DCS, CAPS).
• Experience performing geo-locational mensuration and feature data extraction.
• Proficiency with GIS and data formats (vector, shapefile, GML, XML).
• Quality control/quality assurance against specifications.

Responsibilities

• Produce, edit, and review national and international maps and charts at various scales using established cartographic standards.
• Create and maintain standard mapping products, including: TM, MTM, ICM, JOG, TPC, JNC, GNC, ONC, EVC.
• Attribute, conflate, edit, exploit, extract, format, manipulate, merge, position, and symbolize geospatial information to produce finished map/chart products and perform quality assurance reviews.
• Analyze and evaluate Foundation data for coverage, accuracy, currency, completeness, and applicability to mission requirements.
• Participate in technical exchanges with Government, industry partners, academia, military, civil partners, and geographically dispersed teams.
• Support mission readiness by developing SOPs, creating training guides, and mentoring team members.
