Job summary

Leidos LLC is seeking a talented Cartographer to support large- and small-scale cartographic production in a high-tempo GEOINT environment. The role requires strong geography knowledge, cartographic finishing principles, and GIS to produce and review high-quality maps for mission support.

Responsibilities include producing and reviewing maps, analyzing data for accuracy, and mentoring team members while coordinating with government and industry partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher with relevant experience in cartography/GEOINT.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with willingness to obtain CI Poly.
• Experience in cartographic finishing, feature extraction, and data content management.
• Knowledge of DPS, MGCP schemas, DPS, SIG for GEOINT products and related map types.
• Familiarity with digital data formats (vector, shapefile, GML, XML).
• Experience with editing/merging/conflating geospatial content.
• Experience using resources like GRiD, GEOPAK, AAFIF, DNC, MGCP, etc.
• Proficiency with cartographic finishing software and automation tools.

Responsibilities

• Produce, edit, and review maps and charts at multiple scales using established standards.
• Conflate, edit, and symbolize geospatial information to deliver finished products and QA reviews.
• Analyze Foundation data for coverage, accuracy, currency, and applicability to mission needs.
• Participate in technical exchanges with government, industry, and international teams.
• Develop SOPs, training guides, and mentor team members.
