Job summary

TC Energy in Houston is seeking a Geohazard Engineer to support pipeline integrity across the U.S. and Canada, guiding planning, threat management, and mitigation for geotechnical and hydrotechnical risks.

You will work with project managers, engineers, and contractors, perform field assessments, develop standards, and ensure regulatory compliance while contributing to cost estimates and schedules.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in Civil, Mechanical, Petroleum Engineering or related field.
• 1–5 years of geohazard assessment or pipeline integrity experience.
• Knowledge of 49 CFR Parts 192/195 and related standards.
• Strong communication and team collaboration ability.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop and execute Geohazard Threat Management program.
• Perform field work across North America to assess threats.
• Document compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.
• Develop internal standards and specifications for pipeline integrity.
• Represent TC Energy’s Pipeline Integrity group in technical discussions.
• Coordinate with PMs and operations to implement remediation programs.
• Conduct engineering assessments, feasibility studies and risk analyses.
• Support project planning including cost estimates, schedules and budgets.
• Review third-party data to ensure beneficial outcomes.
• Provide technical support to regulatory, urban development and field teams.
• Coordinate and direct external consultants and contractors.
