Job summary

The University of Oregon's Geography Department seeks qualified candidates for Pro Tem Instructor positions. Instructors may teach lower or upper-division courses such as The Natural Environment, The Human Planet, and Society, Culture, and Place.

Positions are limited-duration appointments potentially renewable up to three years, contingent on need, funding, and performance. Minimum qualifications include a Master’s degree in Geography or related field and at least one year of post-secondary

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Geography or related field.
• At least 1 year post-secondary instructional experience.
• Ph.D. in Geography preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach lower or upper-division undergraduate courses (e.g., The Natural Environment, The Human Planet, Society, Culture, and Place).
• Pro Tem appointments may be limited duration and renewable up to three years depending on needs, funding and performance.
• Screening of applications occurs as positions become available and continues until filled.
