Adjunct Pool for Geographical Information System instruction across district campuses and continuing education centers. This is a continuous recruitment for part-time/substitute faculty with the possibility of assignment in the fall, spring, and/or summer semesters. Applications are purged approximately one year from submittal. If you meet minimum qualifications, your application will be included in the adjunct pool for possible assignments. You will be contacted directly by hiring departments if your qualifications match needs.
Assignments may include a combination of day, evening, weekend, and/or off-campus classes. Part-time/temporary faculty positions offer flexible hours and the opportunity to assist a diverse group of adult students. Applicants should live within commuting distance to San Diego.
Desired Qualifications: Preferred qualifications include the ability to integrate geology, sustainability, and anthropology into courses. Knowledge of ArcGIS software and/or Python required.
Licenses: California Community College Instructor Credential in Earth Sciences, including Geography, Geology, and Geophysics (valid for life).

At the time of offer, salary placement is contingent upon receipt of official transcripts and/or foreign degree evaluations. Instructors with advanced coursework shall be placed on the appropriate class and step on the Adjunct College Salary Schedules, effective the first month following receipt of official transcripts. Initial salary placement will be at the first class/step until transcripts are submitted.
