Qualifications

• 6+ years ESRI administration: Enterprise SDE Geodatabase, ArcGIS Server, Portal, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro.
• 6+ years developing and troubleshooting Python scripts.
• 6+ years ArcGIS system integrations in enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise networking, security, and virtualization.
• Experience with SQL Server and Oracle databases; SSMS and Aqua Data Studio usage.

Position Overview

Our direct client Information Technology 3rd Party Application Support Team is seeking an experienced Enterprise GIS Administrator to provide technical infrastructure administration and support for the agency’s enterprise Geographic Information Systems (GIS) environment.

The successful candidate will have a strong combination of enterprise IT infrastructure, ESRI GIS administration, database, networking, security, automation, and system integration experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform enterprise GIS software installations and configurations, including ArcGIS Server, ESRI Enterprise, SDE Geodatabase, Portal, Web Adaptors, and ArcGIS Pro.
• Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise GIS infrastructure.
• Create system architecture documentation and technical use cases.
• Scope, design, and build new GIS environments.
• Automate ETL processes, GIS administration tasks, monitoring, and other operational activities.
• Ensure GIS environments comply with enterprise IT security policies, including secure access, least privilege, and separation of duties.
• Advise on ArcGIS system integrations within an enterprise environment.
• Maintain knowledge of emerging GIS technologies, trends, and developments.
• Evaluate how new GIS capabilities can support existing and future ODOT applications.
• Maintain and troubleshoot ArcGIS Collector environments.
• Prepare and report project status metrics and team performance metrics to various levels of management.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, database, security, application, and GIS teams.

Required IT Skills & Experience

• Strong understanding of enterprise networking concepts, including load balancing, firewalls, and network traffic flow.
• Experience with virtualized environments and their configuration and operation.
• Understanding of Active Directory, including authentication, group-based authorization, and ADFS.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server administration and enterprise database operations.
• Understanding of database permissions and capabilities in enterprise environments.
• Experience writing SQL queries to query and modify data in Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle.
• Experience using SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) and Aqua Data Studio.
• Strong technical documentation and communication skills.
• Experience documenting system architecture, integrations, and use cases.

Required Technical Experience

• 6+ years of experience with ESRI administration, specifically Enterprise SDE Geodatabase, ArcGIS Server, Portal, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Pro.
• 6+ years of experience with ESRI Experience Builder.
• 6+ years of experience developing, publishing, administering, and using REST services with ArcGIS Server.
• 6+ years of experience developing and troubleshooting Python scripts.
• 6+ years of experience with ArcGIS system integrations in an enterprise environment.
