Pangea in Houston is seeking an Enterprise GIS Manager to own and evolve its enterprise ArcGIS environment, providing hands-on administration of ArcGIS Enterprise, Portal, Server, Data Store, and related apps. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in GIS, geomatics, geography, engineering, computer science, or related discipline.
  • Approximately 5–10+ years of experience administering enterprise-scale Esri GIS environments.
  • Strong experience with ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro, SQL Server, and enterprise geodatabases/SDE.
  • Proven capability in geodatabase design, editing, versioning, QA/QC, and data governance.
  • Practical skills in Python/ArcPy, SQL, ModelBuilder, REST APIs, and ETL/data-integration tools.
  • Experience supporting pipeline, terminal, utility, or regulated asset environments.

Responsibilities

  • Own the administration and performance of the enterprise ArcGIS environment, including ArcGIS Enterprise, Portal, Server, Data Store, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro, and field/mobile applications.
  • Manage platform access, licensing, authentication, security, upgrades, patching, backups, and DEV/TEST/PROD environments.
  • Serve as the technical steward for an enterprise asset geodatabase, including editing workflows, versioning, reconciliation/posting, schema changes, data lineage, QA/QC, indexing, compression, and performance tuning.
  • Develop and maintain data integrations, ETL processes, APIs, GIS services, maps, dashboards, and operational applications.
  • Support GIS-enabled workflows across pipeline integrity, corrosion/CP, valve and inspection programs, engineering projects, operations, and maintenance.
  • Establish GIS data standards, governance processes, publishing controls, and reporting on system performance, data quality, and user adoption.
  • Partner with business and technical stakeholders to align the GIS roadmap with regulatory, operational, and asset-management requirements.
  • Deliver user support, training, and practical guidance to teams across the organization.

A large-scale owner and operator of critical energy infrastructure is seeking an experienced Enterprise GIS Manager / Administrator to take technical ownership of its enterprise geospatial environment.
This is a high-impact, hands-on role supporting pipeline, terminal, integrity, engineering, maintenance, HSE, and project teams. The successful candidate will lead the administration, improvement, and governance of an enterprise ArcGIS platform and asset geodatabase, bringing key GIS data-management activities in house and ensuring the environment remains secure, reliable, scalable, and audit-ready.

  • Approximately 5–10+ years of experience administering enterprise-scale Esri GIS environments.
  • Strong experience with ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro, SQL Server, and enterprise geodatabases/SDE.
  • Proven capability in geodatabase design and administration, authoritative editing, versioning, QA/QC, reconcile/post workflows, schema management, domains, subtypes, relationship classes, and feature rules.
  • Practical skills in Python/ArcPy, SQL, ModelBuilder, REST APIs, and ETL/data-integration tools.
  • Experience supporting pipeline, terminal, utility, industrial, or other regulated asset environments.
  • Working knowledge of pipeline integrity management and applicable U.S. pipeline regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with operational, engineering, integrity, IT, and leadership stakeholders.
Preferred background
  • Experience transitioning GIS or geodatabase support from an external provider to an in-house model.
  • Exposure to pipeline integrity, corrosion management, cathodic protection, inspection, or operational asset-management workflows.
  • Familiarity with SCADA, operational control systems, or related enterprise applications.
  • Esri certifications in enterprise administration, geodata management, or desktop GIS.
  • Experience with IIS, Azure, hybrid cloud/on-premise environments, and geographically distributed user groups.
