Job summary

Temple University's College of Science & Technology seeks a Research Assistant in Earth & Environmental Science to support interdisciplinary geochemistry research. You will assist with lab operations, sample preparation, and data management in a shared lab environment.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in chemistry or environmental engineering and at least 6 months of related experience, plus strong organizational and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, environmental engineering, or related field and 6 months of related experience.
• Excellent organizational, time management and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to learn new laboratory techniques and work with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist with laboratory operations, sample preparation and analytical procedures.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment; manage inventory and records.
• Prepare and organize shared research space and ensure safety compliance.
• Document data and communicate findings both in writing and verbally.
