Job summary

Stantec’s Mining Team seeks an Intermediate Hydrogeologist or Geochemist, with location flexibility among Salt Lake City, Denver or Phoenix. The role focuses on geochemistry studies for mining clients, including acid rock drainage, metal leaching, and pit lake chemistry.

In collaboration with a senior geochemist, you will evaluate groundwater chemistry and develop geochemical models, supporting international projects and field visits as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a M.S. in geochemistry, hydrogeology, geology or related discipline is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience, preferably in aqueous geochemistry.
• Strong technical writing skills.
• Professional license (PG) or the ability to obtain a professional license preferred.
• Exceptional organizational, technical, written and oral communication and attention to detail skills.

Responsibilities

• Support geochemistry studies for regional and international mining clients.
• Engage in groundwater and geochemical modeling with cross‑disciplinary teams.
• Assist senior geochemist and travel to remote sites as needed.
