Job summary

Waterman Infrastructure & Environment is seeking a Geo-Environmental Engineer to join the team in Manchester, UK. This full-time, permanent role supports a range of geo-environmental projects and involves supervising ground investigations, desk studies, soil logging, sampling, and preparing reports.

The successful candidate will contribute to remediation design, understand planning legislation, and travel to other UK sites as required within a multi-disciplinary consultancy.

Qualifications

• BSc or equivalent in Geology, Environmental Science or similar.
• Working towards membership of a relevant professional body with a longer-term goal to move toward chartership with a relevant institution.
• Basic knowledge of planning legislation.
• Experience of site inspections and reporting.
• Able to complete interpretative assessments to a basic level.
• Able to deliver projects and work within a multi-disciplinary consultancy.
• Track record in managing time and resources effectively and within budget.
• In possession of full UK driving license.

Responsibilities

PermanentWaterman Infrastructure & Environment are recruiting for a Geo-Environmental Engineer to join the team based in Manchester, UK.

This is a full-time, permanent position.

The Ground Engineering team provides geoenvironmental consultancy and geotechnical design services to a range of external clients including developers, house-builders, local authorities and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Supporting a variety of geo-environmental projects for both external clients and for other teams within Waterman;


• Supervising ground investigations;


• Preparing Preliminary Risk Assessments (Desk studies);
