Job summary

The University at Buffalo's Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences invites applications for a Research Technician in the Department of Biochemistry to assist in a genomics lab developing tools to read the epigenome.

The role involves experimental work under the PI, supporting undergraduate and graduate research, and focusing on molecular biology, chromatin biology, and high-throughput sequencing library construction.

Qualifications

• Experience with basic molecular biology and biochemistry techniques.
• Familiarity with high-throughput sequencing library construction is a plus.
• Ability to plan and perform experiments and maintain lab databases.

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform experiments under the PI's direction.
• Order supplies and handle general lab maintenance.
• Maintain strain, sample, and sequencing databases; support student research.
