Job summary

The Northwest Genomics Center at the University of Washington is seeking a Research Scientist 3, Genomics to lead high-throughput sequencing projects. You will perform DNA and RNA library construction, apply methylation analysis, and ensure data quality across large cohorts in a production-scale setting.

Under supervision, you will develop new protocols, evaluate instruments and kits, and work with LIMS to log workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biology or related Life Sciences field with 4+ years wet-lab experience.
• Experience with molecular biology, genetics, and chemistry techniques.
• Ability to work in high-throughput genomics and meet project deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Carry out DNA/RNA library construction and sequencing protocols.
• Develop and evaluate new methods for DNA, RNA, and methylation analysis.
• Operate robotics stations and manage data workflow in LIMS.
• Maintain records and ensure quality control across projects.
