Job summary

The Genome Partnership is seeking a Senior Manager, Scientific Programs & Engagement in a hybrid St. Louis, MO role. You will work with the President and AGBT Committees to shape scientific programs, engage diverse communities and advance meeting strategy.

You will develop abstracts, recruit speakers, foster trainee initiatives and translate science for broad audiences, building networks across academia, healthcare, agriculture, biotech, government and industry.

Qualifications

• PhD or other advanced degree in genomics, genetics, molecular biology, computational biology, biotechnology, agricultural science, precision medicine or related field.
• Strong scientific fluency and the ability to engage credibly with researchers and scientific leaders across disciplines.
• Strong understanding of the genomics ecosystem and the institutions, organizations and individuals helping shape the field.

Responsibilities

• Manage the scientific abstract process for AGBT meetings, including calls for abstracts, reviewer recruitment, coordination and scoring.
• Partner with the President and Organizing Committees on scientific agenda development and session themes.
• Lead scientific components of poster programs and workshop recruitment and selection.
• Support identification of prospective speakers and emerging scientific leaders; maintain a strong pipeline of future candidates.
• Monitor emerging research areas and ensure scientific accuracy across program content and communications.
