Job summary

The Genome Partnership in St. Louis, MO, is seeking a Director of Meetings & Experiences to lead planning, strategy, and execution of the AGBT Meeting Series, ensuring exceptional experiences while maintaining fiscal discipline.

Reporting to the President, you will oversee meeting timelines, budgets, vendor strategy, and external agencies. This role leads a small team and partners with Finance, Marketing, and external partners to deliver high-quality meetings with strong guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, event management, business, or related field.
• 7–10 years managing large multi-day meetings with complex vendor needs.
• Experience leading a meetings team and coordinating multiple work streams.
• Experience with meeting management agencies and external partners.
• Strong financial acumen and experience building budgets.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and execution for the AGBT General Meeting and related events.
• Set roles, deadlines, and quality standards across teams and partners.
• Maintain master calendars and planning tools.
• Coordinate communications among internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Lead post-meeting reviews to drive improvements.
