Job summary

Illumina is seeking a Clinical Lab Technician 1 to join a regulated clinical laboratory environment. You will perform high throughput testing, accessioning, and SOP-driven tasks using robotic liquid handling systems and standard lab equipment.

The role emphasizes accuracy, GDP compliance, and collaboration while supporting quality assurance and safety guidelines in a fast-paced lab setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in life science, chemical, physical, biological science, or clinical laboratory science from an accredited institution is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform accessioning of samples including receipt, storage, aliquoting, and disposition.
• Perform the SomaScan assay using robotic liquid handling systems and other laboratory equipment
• Perform tasks per established SOPs and Work Instructions (WI)
• Ensure accurate and timely results
• Maintain sample integrity and traceability throughout sample processing
• Adhere to GDP
• Comply with laboratory safety policies and procedures
• Comply with QA and regulatory requirements
• Participate in internal meetings, seminars, and trainings
• Perform routine maintenance on laboratory equipment
• Operate and perform quality control checks on general laboratory equipment
• Maintain stocks of general laboratory supplies
