EarthOptics is recruiting for a Production Associate to join our Genomics team in Emeryville, CA. You will contribute to high-quality lab operations, performing DNA extraction, QC, and supporting sequencing workflows in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology, Microbiology, or related field.
• 1-2 years of lab experience using equipment and instrumentation (pipettes, centrifuges, automated liquid handling).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs.
• Strong written documentation and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 pounds, and work onsite in Emeryville, CA.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-throughput DNA extraction using established lab workflows and automated liquid handling systems.
• Conduct DNA quality control using laboratory instruments to meet production standards.
• Operate and maintain equipment used for DNA extraction and sequencing workflows.
• Maintain accurate production records, lab documentation, and sample tracking.
• Keep a safe, organized lab environment and follow SOPs.
• Assist with troubleshooting and escalate issues as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet production goals and turnaround times.
