Job summary

AccuScan Sciences seeks a highly motivated Research Scientist to lead technology research focused on developing novel genetic and epigenetic molecular assays. This hands-on role requires deep molecular biology expertise and collaboration with senior scientific staff to drive assay development in a fast-growing biotech environment.

The position involves experimental design, execution, data interpretation, and presenting findings to management and the R&D organization.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or MS in molecular biology with relevant industry/ post-doc experience.
• Strong creative thinking with attention to detail.
• Self-motivated, results-driven, able to drive projects forward.
• Solid foundation in molecular biology and genomics.
• Hands-on experience with NGS and methylation-based assays.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Propose, design, and execute experimental studies to advance new molecular assay technologies.
• Analyze and interpret experimental data with scientific rigor.
• Prepare and present research findings to management and R&D teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional R&D teams to support project timelines.
• Maintain accurate, compliant lab notebooks and data records.
• Manage multiple priorities to meet milestones and objectives.
• Stay current with literature and emerging technologies.
• Contribute to invention disclosures and patent filings.
