Job summary

CooperSurgical is seeking a Clinical Science Specialist to educate and support clinicians and the sales team in genomics. This field-based role emphasizes clinical expertise and collaboration across internal and external partners.

You will present at clinics and conferences, build relationships with thought leaders, develop educational materials, and assist with genetic testing in practice. Expect up to 60% travel and close alignment with sales and marketing teams.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in genetics; genetic counselor credentials are preferred.
• Experience in reproductive genetics preferred.
• Clinical research experience.
• Ability to critically evaluate the medical literature.
• Strong analytical and presentation skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Tech savvy: Microsoft Office Suite, Google Apps (Docs, Spreadsheets, Presentations), and CRM Tools.
• Background check may include verification of prior employment, criminal history, and education records.

Responsibilities

• Provide scientific and clinical presentations on the genomics product portfolio at clinics, events, and meetings.
• Build and maintain relationships with thought leaders and key decision makers.
• Collaborate with medical societies and advocacy groups.
• Develop and review educational materials for providers and patients.
• Develop and participate in virtual educational content.
• Provide clinical support to clinicians for genetic testing in practice.
• Support internal customers including sales, marketing, and clinical teams.
• Attend tradeshows and medical conferences; coordinate abstract submissions.
