Novasoft in San Diego is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of genomics software applications. You will work on Python-based test automation, validate sequencing workflows, and ensure data integrity across lab workflows.

The role emphasizes testing and QA over pipeline development, collaborating with software, scientific, and laboratory teams in a fast-paced life sciences environment.

Formación

• 3+ years QA/test automation experience in biotech or life sciences.
• Strong hands-on Python programming for automated test development.
• Experience with pytest, unittest, or Robot Framework.
• Experience testing with LIMS and laboratory workflows.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and data-validation testing.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test suites using Python and testing frameworks.
• Create test plans, test cases, regression suites, and data-validation scenarios.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing of genomics/life sciences apps.
• Validate sequencing workflows, genomic outputs, and sample-to-result traceability.
• Collaborate with wet lab and dry lab teams to map lab processes to test scenarios.
• Identify and track defects; support root-cause analysis and fixes.
• Verify data integrity, audit trails, and outputs; integrate tests into CI/CD.
• Contribute to QA process improvements and test data management.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and release testing.
