Vice President of AI - Multi Omics Software

Their mission is to enable researchers, clinicians, and institutions worldwide to securely access, share, and analyze complex biological data at scale accelerating discovery, precision medicine, and better patient outcomes. We are seeking a dynamic AI leader to join our senior team and drive the next generation of AI-powered bioinformatics solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and lead AI strategy: Develop and articulate a long-term vision for AI and machine learning within the company, aligned with business goals, genomics data workflows, and emerging research trends.
- Build and manage AI/ML teams: Recruit, mentor, and lead a multidisciplinary team of data scientists, ML engineers, and AI researchers; foster collaboration across bioinformatics, engineering, and product groups.
- Drive development of AI-powered solutions: Oversee the design, development, and deployment of scalable AI/ML pipelines and tools for analysis of genomic and biomedical data, including privacy-respecting, federated or cloud-based workflows.
- Integrate AI with product and bioinformatics platforms: Collaborate with product, bioinformatics, engineering, and research teams to embed AI capabilities into the core technology stack, ensuring seamless workflow from data ingestion to analysis and output.
- Ensure quality, compliance, and performance: Establish technical standards, best practices, validation and documentation protocols to ensure robust, reproducible, and secure AI workflows; stay up to date with relevant regulatory, data protection, and ethical guidelines.
Key Requirements
- Extensive experience (senior or executive level) in AI, machine learning, or data science, ideally within genomics, bioinformatics, healthcare, or similarly data‑intensive domains.
- Proven track record building, leading, and scaling teams of data scientists, ML engineers, or researchers with ability to manage cross‑functional collaboration across technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Strong technical background in designing and deploying ML/AI systems, including data pipelines, model development, large‑scale data processing, and cloud or hybrid infrastructure.
- Deep understanding of genomics or multi‑omics data, or willingness/ability to rapidly gain domain knowledge with sensitivity to data privacy, security, and compliance standards.
- Excellent strategic thinking, communication, and leadership skills capable of aligning technical execution with long‑term goals, and presenting AI vision and progress to company leadership and external partners.
