Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Must possess the ability to apply common sense understanding to daily tasks.
• Must successfully pass a background check and drug screen prior to employment.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Obtain blood samples and prepare files for genomic lab testing.
• Ensure the accuracy of samples taken for parental assignment.
• Assist with sample collection while remaining within the biosecurity matrix.
• Maintain sufficient inventory of DNA supplies to prevent work delays.
• Prepare and pack samples for shipment.
• Perform all routine departmental tests as directed by lab management.
• Responsible for the quality of work performed as well as the quality of the product produced.
• Maintain laboratory and pen hygiene.
• Follow company policy and procedures regarding bio-security, animal welfare, safety, ISO, drug, and alcohol policy.
• Take on special projects and perform all other duties as assigned.
