Job summary

Belay Diagnostics is seeking a Clinical Data Abstractor under general supervision to support the clinical laboratory by reviewing patient medical records and preparing cases for downstream analysis. You will maintain lab databases, ensure documentation is complete, and collaborate with genomic analysts and lab personnel to promote accurate patient reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Genetics, Molecular Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Health Sciences, Nursing, Public Health, or related field.
• Regulated laboratory experience (CLIA/CAP) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review patient records, pathology reports, and lab results to identify and organize clinically relevant information.
• Quality review of TRFs, specimens, demographics, and docs; resolve discrepancies with Customer Service.
• Prepare clinical summaries by organizing demographics, history, genomic findings, and test orders.
• Maintain internal databases, spreadsheets, and knowledge resources supporting clinical reporting.
• Provide admin support for lab workflows, quality initiatives, and documentation.
• Maintain safety records and compliance with established protocols.
• Communicate effectively within the department and with external clinical/research partners.
• Maintain a positive attitude when facing challenges.
