The University of Virginia is seeking a pharmacist to ensure the safe and effective use of medications within its Medical Center. This role includes overseeing pharmacy technicians, entering clinician orders, and providing drug information to patients and caregivers. Pharmacist ensures the safe effective and financially responsible use of medications by providing optimal drug product selection dosage regimen design effective administration and drug therapy monitoring services in the Medical Center.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor's Degree required
Experience: No experience required
Licensure: Commonwealth of Virginia State Board of Pharmacy License. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Job requires standing and traveling for prolonged periods. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull < 20lbs. May be exposed to chemicals.
