Responsibilities

• Ensure the safe, effective, and financially responsible use of medications.
• Enter prescribing clinician orders into the appropriate computer application.
• Process prescriptions.
• Oversee pharmacy technicians’ work.
• Provide drug information to patients’ caregivers and providers.
• Perform pharmacy functions according to relevant statutes, regulations, and guidelines.

Minimum Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience: No experience required.
• Licensure: Virginia State Board of Pharmacy license and AHA BLS certification.

Physical Demands

Standing and traveling for prolonged periods, proficient communication, attention to detail, ability to lift less than 20 pounds, and potential exposure to chemicals.
